Club Lacrosse has been referred to as the "coach's level" of lacrosse. True, it is where the coaches play and compete. However, it involves so much more than that. Club lacrosse teams serve a vital role in lacrosse, from identifying and finding new players and coaches, networking for gear and facilities, and basically moving and shaping the sport.

The primary component of club lacrosse is the club itself. The club is a competitive entity, striving
to improve their team, which also tends to improve the sport in that club's area in general.

Because
of the self-serving nature of the club, new players are recruited, which provides new coaches for youth and high school lacrosse. The Greater Houston Club Lacrosse Alliance (GHCLA) strives to promote and preserve the integrity of the lacrosse club, whether they be independent or league members.

The Alliance supports the
on and off-field practices which have proven to strengthen and expand the sport at the club level. By being a member and supporter of the Alliance, you are voicing your support for these principles, and in doing so,  are helping the sport of lacrosse!
