Sharing My Shipping Knowledge
The shipping industry is very unique. It's been around forever and a lot of the same channels that exist today, existed half a century ago. At the same time, in the last decade the shipping industry has change so much. Tools and resources exist that make it easier for people with any background to ship anywhere in the world. A lot of these tools are my bread and butter.
For small packages and shipments I still use Fedex and UPS for the most part but for large packages, freight shipping, items that require specialized logistics I started by quoting with a ton of shippers and freight companies. This process historically took forever and I needed to find a better way, that's when I found this cool little site called ShipHawk and it's proved to be a very resourceful tool for most of my large shipping endeavors. I will be sharing various tips, how to's and war stories of my years in the shipping industry. I hope it helps you or at least entertains you.
