Brock Equestrian was formed in the spring of 2006 by students from all walks of life with a common thread: a love of horses. The club was initially formed in an effort to provide a forum for these students to get together and just talk horses. The club started with a small number and quickly grew to about 40 members. Members of the club have access to horseback riding lessons, club events and trips, and various fundraising opportunities.

      Since then, the club has expanded from its social aspect and now includes the Brock Equestrian Team, which competes on both the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) circuit, as well as the newly formed Ontario Universities Equestrian Association (OUEA). Since its inception, the Brock Equestrian Team has proven itself to be highly motivated and competitive in its region while still maintaining a focus on sportsmanship and having fun.

      In the future, Brock Equestrian hopes to expand its focus by offering events within the school, clinics, and various other activities for the members and the Niagara community as a whole.
