A new curriculum for a better future
The implementation of K to 12 program is truly have a big changes in Philippine educational system. It aims a highly literacy rate of our educational system which applied when it was passed to our constitution. This curriculum would changed the old curriculum, instead of 10 years of taking the elementary and secondary levels, it adds 2 more years. These educational system were implemented all over the countries around the world that's why we should follow this kind of curriculum. Based on my information, "There is no permanent curriculum" everything is changing even our educational knowledge.
Advantages:
After this curriculum was established last July 4, 2012 in our way of teaching, we can say that we are already competing in educational taught in other countries because we have a same literacy stages. We had a good benefits in terms of learning to the students and probably it will get a high rating in our literacy. The students whom will be done this kind of curricula will can get an access immediately a job and works because they had a lot and enough learning to manipulate or how they do their job.
Disadvantages:
The sudden thing about this curriculum, some teachers and parents even the students are not actually agree in this kind of curriculum. Some of the teachers usually said that they have no experience about this kind of system. Their claims might says that after implementing of this program, it must be pilot test if it is successful or not. Some parents too says that it is disadvantages for them. Suddenly not all of parents can sustain the education for their children. Finally the students reacts that it is not good because it is too long for them to be educated.
