A man who is in love could have a lot of choices when proposing and giving engagement rings. Some would make an effort to surprise their girls through a romantic dinner date. However, there are some guys who prefer to let their girls choose what they like and so they bought their engagement rings together.

When I was a little bit young and I heard some rumors that my fiancee would like to propose marriage for me. That time I was so happy and so I confronted him and asked if where was my engagement rings. I was so dissappointed because it wasn't true. He said that he was tuill focusing on his career and marriage was not yet on his mind. I almost break down in front of him. I didn't know what to feel. Embarrassment.

That day I didn't talk to him after weeks and months. Because of hearsay about engagement rings I almost lost the man I loved. I thought he wasn't serious and I was not his priority. The worst thing was I thought he will never marry me. I kept a distance. I told him that I will be leaving and I am going to states. Thought he didn'y mind it and just said “ok”. How painful it was but then I got no choice. Everything seemed to be darkened.

About two years after. When there was no more communication he showed up on my doorsteps apologizing and offering me marriage. I was shocked. He was actually holding engagement rings on his hand but I didn't look at it. I don't want to be embarassed anymore. Until he said he bought the engagement rings two years ago the day when I went to his place but because I stepped on his pride, he reacted adversely. That made him suffer for 2 years until he decided to stepped down on his pedestal. He throw away the old one because it was a bad omen and we get another engagement rings in which “we bought it together”.

Lesson learned. Do not be too aggressive, let your boys do the first move.
