Founded in 1903 by a small group of local shop keepers, the

club has golfing rights over Stinchcombe Hill golf Course on

Stinchcombe Hill, Dursely. The founder members used to

play much of their golf on a Wednesday afternoon, which in

those days was traditional 'half closing day'.
