In The New World, they opened their first jewelry store within ÒLittle ItalyÓ, commonly know as the Lower East Side. Subsequently they relocated to Grand Street and lived above the store. The security system in those days consisted of a small Peep Hole in the floor.
The children quickly mastered their trade and in 1908 the two eldest sons ventured to Wall Street and established The DeNatale Jewelry Company. Around 1923, Peter joined them full time as a skilled engraver and designer. Several years later, Peter and his youngest brother Blaise founded DeNatale Brothers on Maiden Lane.
