Well let's see I am new at this whole website thing.My whole point for this website is I am trying to petition the newspaper here in my county to not be able to publish pictures of sex offenders that do not fall into the category as "SEXUAL PREDATOR". I am on the sex offender registry due to stupidity as a new adult. I however do not feel that I am a reason for anyone to feel unsafe.I am a female age 27.I have a 6 year old son that i adore.But the town that I live in feels the need to make me relive my past and I do not think that is fair.I think it is wrong unless I am a reason for someone to feel unsafe... I have never and will never again make the same mistake that I made at 18.I got charged with a class c felony and was sentenced to 1 year with 3 years probation.I did not have to register then...The boy that this happened with admitted that he lied about his age..and I still got into trouble.Granted that is no excuse for what happened but it happened.EVERYONE MAKES THAT MISTAKE AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIFE AND JUST NEVER GOT CAUGHT.I did.But my point is that Bloomfield Indiana wants people to have their pictures in the paper to make them even more aware that now more and more people will not trust them because of the simple fact that they are on the sex offender registry.I am not worried about anyone seeing my picture because i know what i did was wrong and have paid the ultimate price.This is just another way for Greene County to make its residents feel worse about themselves.Please dont get me wrong i understand that there are people that we all need to know about but why subject people that got in ttrouble for something so stupid to pay for the rest of their lives? I am asking that everyone help me in signing a petition to not let them post the pictures of the ones that are NOT predators....If you could sign then I would be ever so appreciative.Thank you
