I am a divorced single mom of a 10 year old boy who is going back to school to better myself for the better of my family. Dental hygiene is a dynamic and challenging career that offers team work, personal growth, fulfillment, and extraordinary benefits, and it is the perfect career for me. Good qualities for a dental hygienist are compassion and enjoy talking to people; two qualities that fit my personality. I love the thought of knowing I made a positive impact in a person's health. I think that helping people feel better about their selves is very important. Also, opportunities for Full-time work, flexible schedules, and good pay make dental hygiene a desirable career choice for me. This is the career that I have chosen to go for due to the fact that I am a people person and love to interact with different people. I currently have a family that consist of me and one child but would like to extend it in the near future. This will give us a chance to be able to grow in a way where we won't be struggling and can afford to grow. I have chosen this job career due to it is constantly growing and is in high need of people every day. I have decided on a career that if I wanted I could extend my education I could to become a dentist or even open my own practice in the future. One of the good things about this career is its available here locally and also if I chose to move I wouldn’t have a problem finding a job in this field. This occupation will also allow me to share my outgoing personality and interact with people on a daily bases. I knew I would love hygiene when I first started observing the field. I am very particular about teeth, this may seem shallow but when I would go on a date with a guy I had to make sure they had good teeth. I have always been interested in teeth and health care but I chose dental hygiene as a career for a variety of other reasons such as salary, education, social interaction, convenience and self-satisfaction.
