Purpose:
The purpose of this website is to provide information and resources related to discipline issues in our schools. Discipline problems are varied, but can include truancy, bullying, disrespect, drug and alcohol use, and harassment - basially, any behaviors that are disruptive to the learning environment. This website contains links on topics of school discipline relevant to parents, students, teachers, administrators and, of course, school counselors. This site will explore discipline issues in our schools, and will focus on the school counselor's role in promoting a positive relationship between the school, the students, and their parents.
About me:
I am currently pursuing a master's degree in counseling psychology with a concentration in secondary school counseling. Professionally, I have been working with homeless families for the past two years. Prior to that, I worked with adults suffering from mental illness. I enjoy helping people to realize their interests and pursue their potential.
