The existence of human life would have been incomplete without the incitement of a social connection through emotions. And this has evolved through our progress from primates to the most intelligent species on this planet. From graphic means to thoughts, all are superseded by emotions. Emotions make us humans, it the fundamental basis of our root consciousness.
The journey of emotional roller coasters is filled with many up sides and downsides. This entire experience smoothens further with the existence of a partner or a mate who shall escort your being into a state of satisfaction.
I also happened to experience this fulfillment with my friends along when we were on our tour for our summer exchange program to Philadelphia for a training session in Biomechanics. We were unaware of the vast expanse of the state and thus sought guidance from a relative of my friend, Anusha. She inspired us to visit the Philadelphia Zoo which is apparently the nation’s first zoo. Excited pretty much like toddlers, we set our destination to this zoo knowing well that it was going to resemble our childhood memories of every zoo; lions, crocs, monkeys and few other birds. But the scene at this zoo seemed distinct at its very entrance. We were awed by the sheer area covered by this zoo and all the different animals harbored by it, a sight definitely worth capturing. And after our entire tourist minded plethora with the zoo, as we were exiting the zoo Anu was magnetized by this cute pup, a cockapoo breed. And while I had to follow suit with Anu to avoid losing her in the zoo, I witnessed that the owner was actually nowhere to be found. Feeling a sense of empathy for the puppy, I decided to work out the trail of its owner and after an ordeal of 10 mins, we noticed that the owner was lost in some sightseeing with her family. The lady then graced us for handing over her pup and as we were leaving, she noticed the spurt of affection between Anu and the cockapoo puppy. So she told us about this amazing place from where she had the fortune of owning that puppy. It wasn’t exactly a place, but she did mention that it was a pit stop for cockapoo puppies for sale in PA and that’s when the expected happened. Anu started looking at me with these eyes of innocent anticipation evidently hinting that we visit this location.
As we reached home, we decided for the occasion when the hunt was to be performed for this cute puppy store. Later that same evening, I was Skyping back with my sister and everyone else on the team was busy with some task they had assigned themselves to. After the call, a pop up just cropped up on my laptop’s home screen, saying “bichon frise puppies for sale in PA”, and it then struck me about Anu’s wish to own a pup. I visited the site and found a glorious collection of breeds.
And then we gave a call to the place and asked when we could visit the kennel. At the kennel house, after thorough seemingly invalid consults with Anusha, we decided to go for the bichon frise variety. She instantly fell in love with it. She instantly started playing along with the dog as it found its new friend.
And this was what seemed so unequalled by any of my other memories, an animal bringing out so much of emotion from within a human as to make her elated in every moment. She was so happy with the visit that she kept on blabbering about how that place was filled with such cute animals. She also was heard quoting this to her family during her Skype call, “I got a new pet!!” As it’s rightly found, dogs elevate your mood-lifting hormones and decrease your depressing hormones.
