If you have ever sat at home and said, I would like to go to a yoga class but it seems very confusing! Well you are not the only one, it is a very ancient practice and it is often misinterpreted by people with there own agenda. I have no agenda here but to present facts, I do not wish to sell you anything and I do not care for credit for this work. My goal is to help you understand the purpose of Yoga, the purpose of life, what happens to you after you die, who God is and who you are in relation to God, so you will not be stuck with these things on your mind; WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LIFE, HOW DID I GET SO DAMN OLD... I AM GOING TO DIE SOON!
The very first thing I want you to do is read this out loud to yourself; Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. Congratulations! You have Just very much appeased the Lord and you also have appeased all the Demigods and Goddesses of Fortune as well since they are God's servants. You have also addressed God in a name that He prefers! Krishna means all attractive and if you address the lord in this way by chanting his names, He will be much more inclined to get you out of the mess of this material world we have all gotten ourselves in to.
This world is a mess because in our goal to serve our senses, we are driven mad because we never obtain what we lust for. What we lust after is possessed by God and He is the supreme enjoyer of all things. If we wish to enjoy things we do not get to be with God where he resides, we get to be here where everyone is trying to be God in a material world. The conquest to be God in the material world is always a failing effort because everything in this world is temporary. You can be beautiful, rich, smart, good athlete but all these things the lord owns, he can lend it to you for awhile but you don't get to keep it. The rules of karma are set up by the lord to award such things. The lord is aloof from this world, it is just set up and run by him. You can not blame him for this retched place for the same reason you can not blame the president because you are in prison. If you ask the president if he thinks jail is a very good place for you to stay, he will tell you no. The same is true of the lord, if you asked him if this is good place to stay he would tell you no too! He would tell you to come back to your home with him! You have to be; born, get sick, get old, die and repeat in a material world, in the spiritual world you do not. That is what yoga is about, lets serve God by chanting his names and remembering his pastimes which have been handed down through the ages! The stretching and breathing are to help you focus your mind on those things!
That is why we wake up older each day never feeling any different, you as a person exist outside of the vehicle of the human body. The soul is eternal and has to take on body after body in the material world and since there is no profit in this world, we keep lusting after our senses and they are never fulfilled. Much like a drunk who lusts after a drink, there is no real profit, his thirst is never fulfilled as he thought it would be. The whole point of this endeavor is to make you realize this material world is not your home! If I have not lost you yet, I would just like to congratulate you again because if you understand this much and have gotten this far, you already understand more then a majority of the people you will be in class with! Most people think they are God but have not taken the time to analyze there consciousness!
If you want to let God know that you are truly interested in developing a relationship with Him keep repeating Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare!
