Hi, I am JoAnn Harvan-Chin, or you can call me Mrs. H.-C. I am a private tutor who loves learning
a lot, but loves working with my students even more. My students are empowered, inspired, and
accomplished. I use a variety of
materials including manipulatives, educational games, and websites as wells as
traditional textbooks and worksheets to reinforce the skills that my students
need to excel.
My Favorite Educational Links This is a great website for the student gamer that needs to
remediate in Math or This website feeds people with every correct answer the UN gives
20 grains of rice to a third world country. Talk about working smarter, not
harder! While the student answers
questions that range from grammar, to vocabulary in English or other languages.
Multiplication tables, and even famous works of art, he or she is donating to a
worthy cause! Free Rice fosters
ethics as well as academics.
This site is great for students or teachers. There are online flashcards, a homework
helper, and game room for students.
There is a worksheet generator and flashcard customizer, and even an
online tutoring service!
