This website pays its humble respect to Stephen King's grand
opus, The Dark Tower series. I honestly don't know what
force drove me to pick up The Gunslinger o' so long ago,
but as you can tell, a chance choice in a small town bookshop
led to an amazing trip through the many triumphs and failures
of Roland Deschain's Ka-tet and back. Actually, before that day,
I never even knew about the fantasy masterpiece that King had
been crafting and refining for so many years. I'm not just your
average reader by far, but at the time, I was completely unaware
of King's novels outside of Salem's Lot, IT, etc
- I'm pretty embarrassed to admit it, but I took him for a pure
author of horrific and terrifying tales, nothing else. So, why
did the first chapter in Roland of Gilead's tale suddenly catch
my eye? Truth be told, I'm not all too sure myself; that's just
how Ka works.
Hear me well, fellow gunslingers - the world is moving on. Time
is a face on the water, and there are other worlds than these.
