Learn where you can find the Kratora plant. You may also want to find out if you can grow this herb on your own.

Where and How to Grow Kratora

Nowadays, alternative medicines are quickly gaining popularity among residents who cannot afford the expensive costs of healthcare and medicines. Personally, I’m a big supporter of herbal remedies not only because it promotes the natural way of treating illnesses, but because I learned that these plants prove to be a more effective medicine than pharmaceutical prescriptions. I love the Kratora or Kratom plant that grows in Southeast Asia, primarily because of its soothing effects that I need whenever I get stressed.

When asked about Kratora, a lot of people would just tell you that it is a tree from Thailand that is easily distinguishable with its yellow flowers and evergreen leaves. However, did you know that there are different kinds of Kratom? Though these species are not given exact names, they can be determined based on their native locations. The Kratom or Mitragyna speciosa is exclusively grown in Bali, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. There are also African Kratoms that grow sparsely in the African continent. The Kratom plant can also come with different leaf and stem colors, from red to white.

If you are not living in Southeast Asian countries, can you still grow your own Kratora at home? The answer is yes, although I will tell you now that this will be quite a difficult task. First of all, it is a fact that one fresh seed of the Kratom can grow into a 100-foot tree in a matter of years. However, in order for this plant to grow well, you need to find a place where there is rich and moist soil. Of course, with the advancements in farming and gardening today, we both know that there are ways by which you can make your garden soil humid and fertile. Taking care of its growth requires plenty of water.

On the other hand, I also recommend you to find a very large space for your Kratom, as its trunk can grow pretty wide, too. Take note that this plant is sensitive to environmental changes, and even the slightest change in temperature can cause it to lose its leaves all at once. Sometimes it is better if you have a greenhouse in store, so you can easily manipulate the environmental conditions that will affect the tree.
