The mission of coalition for increased traffic volume is simple: to increase safety awareness by constraining the reckless speeds of unsafe drivers via the method of increasing traffic volume.  Our strategies are innovative, simple, and commonsensical. 

The Coalition for Increased Traffic Volume network is far-reaching and, for the safety of all involved, is comprised of an intelligent community of anonymous vigilantes.  We are legion, we are many. We are taxi drivers, truck drivers, bus drivers, soccer moms, commuters, motorcyclists, and when we do not have access to a motor vehicle, we apply our mission for increasing traffic volume to pedestrian traffic, cyclists, and even paid homeless individuals. 

The movement for increasing traffic volume was inspired by Third World country traffic studies. The studies concluded that the more traffic volume, the less speed one could achieve, thus greatly diminishing accidents. We found that while injuries increased in these situations, the fatalities greatly decreased. This is due to the fact that speed kills. Thus we, a self-proclaimed multi cultural, diverse group of heroes have committed to sapping the speed and and risk from any possible driver around us.

Others call it following the law (e.g. "going the speed limit."), we call it kowtowing to an oppressive, ignorant traffic system instituted by a domineering government who simply wants to make money off of auto accidents. 

(think about it: no traffic accidents? No need for police officers! The epitome of job security!)

Q. Are you that $%(^* in front of me on the road?
A. Most likely, but you will never know.

Q. You are increasing road rage.  Road rage is dangerous.
A. Road rage has been proven to increase traffic volumes which in turn decreases vehicular speed, which in turn decreases the inherent risk of fatal auto accidents.  Thus we approve of and encourage so called "road rage."

Q. You're going to get arrested.
A. Joan of Ark was arrested too.  And she was a hero.

Q. I love what you're doing! Where can I join?
A. Joining is by invite only.  A part of our membership process (for current members) is to identify 'infuriating' drivers, who are in turn personally invited exclusively to join our underground coalition.  By this "spreading" method, our movement has gone viral.  It is considered a great honor to be invited to the CFITV.

Q. Are there auto-insurance benefits to what you do (since your official goal is to save lives)?
A. What we do is secretive and often misunderstood, thus insurance companies--at this moment--are not aware of their members being in the Coalition.

Q I think you violated a law, and I nearly hit you.  I want to slash your tires.
A. This is considered a great honor.  Please let let us know what the method was that caused such rage, and we shall make special note of it (maybe even include it in our Top 10 List of Traffic Increasing Methods!).
