I recently retired after 20 years as a corporate recruiter and employment consultant.  My last few years were spent working for an online university as a student adviser and prior learning assessment specialist.  At this stage of my life, I would like to share my expertise with individuals who are looking for employment or considering college for the first time or want to go back to school and complete their education.  Most people need guidance along the way in making these types of decisions.  Career planning and development as well as educational decisions are very difficult without someone to help navigate through their complexities.

My work history and knowledge puts me in a unique position to assist people with their career and educational goals.  My background combines extensive experience in the field of employment and in higher education.  As a corporate recruiter, I have conducted countless interviews with candidates for a wide variety of positions in the fields of information systems, accounting, underwriting, customer service, sales, marketing, financial analysis, business analysis, financial auditing, systems analysis and many others.  I have reviewed thousands of resumes and attended numerous job fairs.  I know what it takes to land a job and what employers are looking for.  

My experience in higher education has been equally varied.  I have been an admissions representative, director of placement, director of financial aid,  student adviser and degree planner for various institutions.  I have audited transcripts for transfer credits, helped students earn credits through the use of standardized testing, aided students in overcoming obstacles both personal and academic and have motivated students to finish their degrees.  I have worked with both Associate and Bachelor level students.  I understand how colleges and universities work and how specific curriculum fit into career plans.
