Comfort Chicken?
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: Something by Thomas Newman...

After a long hard day seemingly driving around in circles, my mom and I arrived home and were greeted by our two semi-clean cats.  We washed them yesterday, but the male keeps licking them both and his teeth are OBSCENE.  Not to mention, one of his ears got clipped by the animal control people, to show that he had had his...um...operation.  It's a long story and we did not own him then, but it has to suck to have that...reminder...hanging directly over your face, all the time.

My mom wanted to try a new recipe that she could make with some left over chicken.  It was called "Comfort Chicken"  I wanted to know if it had alcohol in it.  She said no, of course not, and stared at me as if I had gone crazy.  I had some cereal for dinner, and it was definitely non-alcoholic, and possibly had an anti-alcohol shield around it, that was how boring it was.  It was still a better option than the comfort chicken.  Really, the only thing it succeeded in comforting was the kitchen drain, as that is where my portion went, and none too soon.

I have enough comfort already.  I don't need any from a damned chicken.

We are going to make cowboy biscuits soon, to make up for the Comfort Chicken.  If you don't know what cowboy biscuits are they are canned biscuits (like Grand's) that you drop into a pan full of grease and summarily deep-fry until they are nice and brown.  Then you take them out and sprinkle sugar on them, eat them, and die of a myocardial infarct (that is a heart attack, not a fart.)  They are very good, and if their name did not remind me of Brokeback Mountain they would be perfect.  They have very good cowboy biscuits at one Chinese buffet near my house.

That is all.  I am bored.  Summer does that to you, sometimes.
