DOT ANIME CLUB

@ Gloucester County College
Welcome to Gloucester County College's Dot Anime Website. May all your dreams come true.

September 7, 2007: Accomplished finishing the Club Schedule. Please read it carefully. We also created a few links on the side. Check them out and read them carefully. Things that are important are highlighted either Red or Blue.

Welcome to GCC's Anime Club website. Here, you will see what this club is all about. We will try to influence more on anime that isn't aired in the United States, since almost all of the otakus have seen almost everything there is over in the states. We will also be focusing on not only anime's, but Japanese drama's as well. Mostly the drama's will be anime/manga related.

Anime has been a big influence with out lives, so, it is only natural that people are curious about the japanese animation and why it is so popular. We will attempt to show different genres of anime, from mech like Gundam, to the infamous high school romance stories and fun filled laughs like Kare Kano (His or Her Circumstance). This will enable the new generation of Otaku into see what kind of genres are out there, and, what kind they would be interested in.

This club also takes pride in it's commentaries for the anime. Why did you like? Why didn't you like it? What did you think about the characters, animation, etc...? These questions we will enforce at the end of each showing of an anime. We want to see that you become aware that anime is just like a painting. It is an artform that needs to be considered and must be broken down to fully understand the reasoning behind the art form.

We also, if anyone objects, is to draw. Anime is all about the artwork, whether its computerized, or cel, or even on plain paper and made into a simple 30 frame animation. Drawing is another way into seeing more about the animation, and seeing how they would do this person walking, or running, or smoking, or whatever. We hope to do this part of the club, and hope that people will like it.

Finally, we are also going back to aiming for Videogame night. Anime has also taken over the gaming industry, and has been for many years. Most Otakus also enjoy spending an hour or 5 at the polygraphic worlds so we will do our best to give them what they want.

We hope that you, the member, will enjoy this experience at this semesters Anime Club. We will be hosting it at the College Center in the mini Center on Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. You can bring visitors. We don't limit ourselves to just college students. We are also open to any suggestions as to make the club better. Remember, it just isn't ran by the officals who created and/or continued with the club. It is also ran by its members and how many wonderful ideas are created to continue on with this club. E-mail us some comments and ideas too! So, come on in and feed your inner Okatu!!! We will be waiting.
