Canadian Trillinium School is a private international school located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The school opened it's doors on October 9th 2011. CTS is a technology based school and incorporates 21st century teaching methods. CTS is a New Brunswick school, through AEI (Atlantic Education International).

History

CTS was established October 9th,  2011. The school started off as a secondary school with students from grades 6 through 10, along with 7 Canadian certified teachers. Helena Waye was the first principal.

In the spring of 2012, CTS opened its elementary school and two more Canadian certified teachers were hired to teach the classes.

In the beginning of 2012-2013 CTS appointed a new principal, Carmen Peters, Eleven new Canadian certified teachers were hired to teach the growing number of students.CTS also became a partner school with the Dhaka International School League (DISA) for sports. Finally, in the end of the first semester the school opened its library along with a science laboratory.

Exchange Program:

CTS gives the opportunity to the students to study one semester in Canada. This opens the door to a truly innovative cultural experience. The students, under the Department of Education in New Brunswick, Canada will combine credits from study in Dhaka and Canada affording them the opportunity to receive a Canadian High School diploma. This format and partnership also allows for the possibility of children to study abroad in Canada.

Facilities

CTS is a technology based school. Each class room is equipped with an E-Board and the school provides each student with a laptop.The school also has a playground for the elementary students.

Schedule

CTS starts classes at 8:15AM and finishes at 3:00PM. Each class is 65 minutes and there are five minutes breaks between classes. After second period, CTS has 15 minutes for recess and 30 minutes for lunch.
