Kennedy space center(KSC) is
located on Merritt island, Florida, the center is northwest of Cape Canaveral
on the Atlantic Ocean, midway between Miami and Jacksonville.
KSC has been the launched site for the U.S
human space flight since 1968. All launch operations are conducted at launch
complex 39.
The shuttles major components arrive, are
stacked, and are checked out inside the VAB and sent to Pad 39A for launch.
