Alright /x/, gather round and i'll tell you a story about the shit that goes on in my house.
I moved to this town when I was 7 with the rest of my family. We lived in a camper for a couple years, then built what is now my dads large workshop to live in, then we built this house. There was just forest here before we cleared the lot.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)00:50 No.937457
    >>937455
We were still finishing the house, my father was reading a plan for some part of the ceiling in my
room, me my brother and mother were in the city so he was home alone. A wrench flew off a shelf and
bounced off his chest and onto his plan. It didn't injure him, it was like it was tossed gently.
    That was the first thing.
Then, when I was with my brother and father in the workshop, my mother was walking up the 2 meters
to the house, when she looked into what is now my room window, and a woman was staring out at her.
She came back in the house and told us what happened, we went in and checked the whole house and didn't
    find anything.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)00:50 No.937461
    >>937457
Then I had my own experience: I moved into my room first, as it was finished first out
of the bedrooms. My father was working, and my brother and mother were washing dishes in the workshop,
and I was on the phone with my ex gf. We had most of dads tools downstairs when we were building the house,
including a table saw. So anyway, me and my ex were talking on the phone, and i heard the table saw fire up.
I went wtf? and looked out the window at my brother and mother in the basement, and the vehicle my dad took
to work was still gone, and he wouldn't be back until morning. I told her to hang on a second, I started to
walk downstairs, when I reached the main floor, and went into the doorway to the basement, the tablesaw shut
off, and spun down. I flicked on the lights, went down, but there wasnt anything there, nothing new in the
    sawdust piles, nothing.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)00:51 No.937462
    >>937461
Since then, little things have happened around my room. My now gf and I talk on skype
for days straight, leaving it on when we leave and such. Sometimes she hears people walking around or whispering
in my room while I am gone and noone is in the house. Today she heard my keyboard being typed on when I was gone.
Other than stuff like that, little things go missing. my ex's necklace for example; she took it off and left
it on my nightstand the night before, we went to sleep, and when we woke up it wasn't there. We were home alone
that night, and our two big dogs didn't bark. Our cat used to wake up and start purring, then watch something
move across the room all the time, we thought she was just being a cat.

    >>937462
So /x/, that's all for now. Lots of
weird shit going on in a house that nobody died in. I know there's a couple more stories, but not that I can
think of at the moment, I just know they are there, i'll ask my parents to see if they remember anything else.
    Opinions? questions?

pretty run of the mill stuff duded.

Question: Did you WITNESS the table saw 'spinning down'? or was it just motionless by the time you saw it?
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)01:02 No.937523
    >>937503
no, I only heard it, but it was exactly the same volume as it was when it was in use. It had stopped spinning down by the time I got down there, it spins down really fast.

Weird, ask your girlfriend to record the sounds being made on skype, if possible.
It doesn't sound violent, so don't worry too much about it.
Also, your house (the way it's built) sounds awesome.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)01:06 No.937545
    >>937525
I'm not worried, its just strange little things that happen. like last week, my curtains blew up suddenly and a cold breeze blew hard into my room, then it just stopped. I went wtf and went to shut the window, but it was already shut. Shat brix, but nothing that seemed too scary or anything. I'll get her to try and record it, i'll do it on my end too.
Its a huge house, I would post a little tour of photos, but 4chan being what it is, I could get fucked over. Anyway, I tried to contact the ghosts using my mic and soundrec, just asking if anyone wanted to talk to me or contact me or anything, i made a video and audio recording, and got nothing. Any ideas (besides an Ouija board) for contacting ghosts?
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)01:09 No.937560
    >>937545
I thought maybe they wanted to contact me, as whenever I read about contacting ghosts or talk about my experiences or do much of anything related to the supernatural (including being on /x/) they become more active, moving things in the corner of my eye, walking across the floor behind me (they are hardwood floors) and stuff like that, like they want me to know they are there. even as I type, i hear pants swishing like someone is walking across the room behind be and gentle footsteps. Any ideas for that /x/?

A couple of years ago my Aunt had similar problems in her house. She told us a story about one time getting out of the shower and the mirror had frosted completely over in the steamy bathroom. The dog used to bark at something they couldn't see and breezes would flow through the house when no windows or doors were open. Pretty creepy.

what you should do is act really threatening and paranoid all the time, try and confront them by yelling at them and dare them to do something to you.

Ouija boards fuck people over, stay away from that shit.
Nothing I can really think of other then the mic, but don't do any stupid shit like get a psyhic in there, psyhics can fuck shit up something supreme.

    >>937545

With the seeing things flash past in the corner of your eye, that is most proably just your eyes fucking up because of the difference of light on your computer and surrounding area. Hearing the floor boards creek could be a result of the weather or current temperature.

I was under the impression that the most logical explanation for ghosts were that they were memories of dead people and didn't stray from where their memories were. Wouldn't make sense for a ghost to just hang out in the middle of the woods and wait for some jackhole to build a house there. At least, that's my theory... it's the only thing letting me sleep at night, knowing that my ex-chicken ranch foundation will only give me a spooky cluck at the very worst.

Sorry if that didn't make any sense. It's /x/ anyways.

Has your family tried getting someone in to bless the house and land? I'm not religious or anything but blessings tend to clear build ups of negative energy which is what sounds like has happened for your house. It also helps to claim an area as Your Own, and to tell other things to stay clear, ie negative energy, spirit activity etc. Negative energy can effect areas that have never had things built on them before. Also who knows? Maybe you have a body dumped on your property somewhere. Chances are the things that are happening are not even related to a dead person, and could be just a negative build up as i said.
Priests work well even if they aren't of your faith, as their own belief can cast out negative energy. Just some ideas anyway.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)07:12 No.938409
OP; I'm in the same situation as you, but mine has gone on for years.

I was around 9'ish when we built a house in the middle of the forrest, far away from any other houses (it's kind of like a ranch/villa). I remember things happening ever since I was 11 like lights flickering off then coming on one minute after (only in the room I was currently in) and the lightbulb still lasting for 1 month after that, and creepy noises + wind around in the room. But as I grew up and got older, things seemed to be happening rarer and rarer and now, theres nothing going on.

I remember I had a dream when I was about 13-14 about some old fisherman like guy shouting out at me "WEAK PEOPLE DISGUST ME!!!!!!" like a screamer type of ghost.

but as said, It's as good as gone now, and I'm not scared or anything (but I used to be shit scared when I was smaller) because if something tried to attack me, I'd just hit back, no matter wtf it was.

watch Mannequin. you won't just contact the ghosts you'll rip their eyes out
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)16:04 No.938925
OP here, my gf is going to record the noises whenever I leave, i'll post any results we get.
Anyway, we didn't find any bones or anything when we leveled and cleared the land, save a wolf skull (it was cool, and then someone stole it for some reason) But, The ghosts aren't harmful, they don't bother me, I just think it's kind of neat to have ghosts in the house. All they have done lately is turn on my fan in the middle of the night and make me go wtf. they don't attack, just move stuff around. I don't really want to get rid of them, no one here does.
Before we moved, my mother remembers my encounters vividly, I saw ghosts in my old trailer we lived in. Eyes watching me through the window of my room, and from under my old bed (it was basically a wooden box with a sliding door lol) and stuff like that, and also odd shapes and shadows crossing on their bedroom walls as well. It scared the shit out of my dad whenever I told them what I saw, so he might not appreciate the attention the ghost gave him, but other than that, no harm done.

Its not creaking floorboards, we built this shit solid :P its actual footsteps, sometimes sounds like barefoot, sometimes like shoes. Something that might be relevant, the town I live in is a 200 year old settlement, fur traders and indians across the river, but this land wasnt cleared until a forest fire 50 years ago, and logging something like 20-30 years ago. The general store has its ghost of the old owner who moves things on the shelves around, being an original building. The old general store has a few ghosts, being older than the other one. There is also a native graveyard 5 minutes drive from the house, and the old settlement with the church and everything, i'll take some photos soon for /x/ Anyway, I am liking these comments and stories, good stuff /x/ :D keep it comin! Also, i'll look through my creepypasta for the shower one.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)16:32 No.938978
Holy shit. I woke up once in the middle of the night and there was a old fisherman swearing loudly at me. Kinda similar.
    >> Anonymous 09/15/08(Mon)16:36 No.938995
    OP here.

Got back home from cutting woods today, room was in a mess. My bed which was next to the window had moved to almost the middle of the room. It's a small room so it's not a far distance but still it moved. Also, the curtains were on the floor and the wardrobe was slightly open. It might've been the weather (strong drafts in the area) but I don't think that could move a bed. After wards i went down to tell my mom. She said she heard noises from my room but didn't go up to check 'cause she didn't think anything of it. Anyway after I told her, my mom got scared And said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air."I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought, "Nah, forget it. Yo home to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8and I yelled to the cabby yo holmes smell ya later Looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.

I'll look into that, because of people like that crackhead up there messing with my thread >.< BTW, I have an update: My missing electrical tape showed up on my dresser when I came back in here. It wasn't there when I left, as I was looking for it there earlier to repair some headphones. I got back, and it was sitting right on top of a couple dvd's. It's mostly stuff like that that makes me not care if there's ghosts in my house, they don't hurt anything.

When my wife's mother died, we were not married yet, things kept flying around and hitting me. I was not her mom's first choice for a husband, most likely not even in the top 100 - 1000, is my guess. Things that would hit me were items that just did not fall off a shelf, they flew across the room. After we got married things stopped hitting me. Things like that really happen. I always say that once you get smacked up side the head by a ghost it will make a believer out of you.
