Why antique silver? That just happens to be my interest. While other creative works are likewise beautiful and rare, antique silver has always been special to me. In truth, no other metal is as appealing. Both lustrous silver, as well as tarnished, are spectacular, each in their own way.
Currently, I am seeking French furnishings that were executed with silver trim. Most such pieces had been melted down during France's more turbulent times. Other pieces were modified, as owners reportedly disliked the tarnish, and upkeep was time consuming. As a result, French furnishings with original silver are a rarity.
