AMET has good facilities and placement records rather than other colleges. Admission will be given based on your entrance exam rank and interview will be held on the day of admission. There are students from every corner of India, thus there is a taste of every culture of India in AMET. Every year 1000 students get placed. Nearly 100 companies come to AMET. Almost 90% of batch will get placed. College management is very good. If I am given a chance to study again I would definitely opt AMET without any second thought. This college have molded me and made me what I am now. The faculties are great. Facility is also pretty good if you make use of it.

AMET stands for Academy of Maritime Education and Training. Here they are not teaching us instead they are training us to become merchant officers. The infrastructure, Library, faculties provided by University is world class. Placement is the most attractive thing about this University. The professor and lecturers are well experienced and knowledgeable persons. Hostel is also good, not bad depends on how you maintain. Placement depends on market only, but it is good. If you are good enough in first semester itself, you can get placed but it depends on you. AMET has tie up with some good companies, which will select you on first semester itself, depends on your performance. If you have big dreams, then the best place to study is here and not only the college name will fetch you a good future but it's your hard work which need to be there in first place. Amet university can show you various good path, but it's in your hand to take it or not. My humble opinion will be to make use of the most from the University and you'll feel the difference. The college is good for education and it has good faculty members. There are some experienced chief engineers. You can learn many things there. Hostel food is superb and best in class. Hostel is also good, not bad depends on how you maintain. Infrastructure is good. You can't find a better Marine College than AMET. Placement depends on market only, but it is good. If you are good enough in first semester itself, you can get placed but it depends on you. The best thing about AMET, it is purely for Maritime courses. Specialized courses are the biggest strength of AMET. Excellent Facilities, Excellent People and Great Location. The college houses competitive cross-section of more than 2500-3000 students. There is a good mix of students from different parts of the country and from outside. Students have a very healthy atmosphere to learn and interact here. Seniors are supportive and there is no kind of ragging done here. The placement cell at AMET is very robust. The average package offered is around Rs 8.50 lakhs p.a. and the highest package is about Rs. 16 Lakhs p.a. AMET has 90% placement in 2014. Recruiters who visited the campus last year include Maersk, NYK, Shell, etc.
