History


There have been a lot of requests since 1930’s to build a direct travel route from the Northern Rivers to Brisbane in the way of Richmond Gap. The Kyogle Lions Club has made a resolution to adopt the project of building a direct path when it was denied by the NSW Government in 1969. It is a community project where the community people shared individual task in building the road. There have been a lot of upgrades and works after it was finished in 1970. Today, the Lions Road have become an important part of Queensland and a vital route leading to the Border Ranges National Park where you can see numerous tourists visiting and enjoying the beautiful sceneries inside the park.


 

Spiral Loop Lookout


If you want to experience a magnificent view while travelling in Queensland then make sure to pull over in the famous tourist spots, the Spiral Loop Lookout and the Grady’s Creek Valley.
