General Laws

 Article 1 Visitors And Citizens

 Section 1.1 Principles
Dandridge is built on two things - adherence to the way of Gor and the
hospitality of O/our guests. As such, no Free shall interfere with what transpires between a Master/Mistress and His/Her property. The only possible exception is the CA or Ubar only.

 Section 1.2 Attention while attending
With exception of CA/FS for scroll purposes - A/any that will be AFK (away from keyboard) for an extended period, shall go to an empty room or Obs.

 Section 1.3 Courtesies
Should the home's room fill up the following is the shrinking order of avatars: Citizen FW, Guest FW, Citizen FM, Guest FM. Slaves will maintain shrunk unless directed otherwise by the Free.

 Section 1.4 This is Gor
RT issues may be discussed in private or at more relaxed time,
but shall be kept out of home's main room talk.
Do not speak foolishly and of matters of Urth. This is Gor!

Section 1.5 Intervention of the Priest Kings
Everyone gets booted from time to time, at the pleasure of the Priest Kings. But for O/one to leave without a word to go somewhere else is RUDE and an affront to true Goreans. A simple "going wandering" will suffice. Do not sit scan lined and then leave to another home without extending the courtesy of parting well.

Section 1.6 Be Silent of City of Matters
All business of the City shall stay in the City !
Gossip serves no purpose and in some cases may be considered an act of treachery, resulting in banishment at the discretion of the Ubar/CA. You will be considered an outlaw to Dandridge and may suffer the consequences of being so known. Goreans do not moan, gripe or complain or pass information about City business to others outside the City and to strangers. Remember the Gorean
word for enemy is the same as that of the stranger.

 Section 1.7 Citizen Responsibility
All Citizens, Free and slave, shall register for the Dandridge Boards to be informed about matters that affect all who call this home.

 Section 1.8 City Meetings
There will be regular, but not an excessive amount of meetings held for the Citizens of Dandridge. All Citizens are expected to make every effort to attend and participate in these Meetings. Communication is the key to a prosperous City.

Section 1.10 Taxation and rights to commerce
All Citizens of the City are expected to donate coin (mojo) on a monthly basis to help U/us pay O/our server dues. At this time there is a voluntary basis, with no set amount.

Section 1.12 Safe Passage and Treaty allowances for the same.
Safe passage shall be given either by treaty or individually, but can also be revoked, resulting in banishment and the pains thereof, therefore, watch your attitude. Safe Passage is given individually and on a daily basis.. You must ask for safe passage each time you visit Dandridge.
Only Treaties with homes will grant Safe Passage for the length of the treaty.

Article 2 Specifics to the Free

Section 2.1 Behavior of Free Woman
Gor is Gor and such, is a Male dominated world, any FW that is disrespectful or that shows improper behavior will not be tolerated and is subject to finding Her neck in a collar without warning and/or question or reprisal. If a FW/PG acts in such a manor, she will be force collared regardless of Tags or Warrior Count so watch your attitude in Dandridge. This not only counts for chat in the room but includes the use of inappropriate AV's. Sunday is a more relaxed day, but respect and decorum is still expected subject to sanction of the collar.

 Section 2.2 Expectations of Serving
In the rare case that there are no slaves present to serve; Free Women are expected to serve
visiting Free. Only the basics should be expected in serving food or drinks. It should not be necessary to remind anyone familiar with Gor that Free Women cannot exhibit the behavior of a slave without being in peril of a collar. All Gorean Free Women know that their lives depend on the discretion of men and should know how to serve without fire or heat to accommodate.

Article 3. Laws of Combat in Dandridge

But Free's name MUST NOT be spoken

If coin is offered for service you will take it either in the mouth or in your silks and then give it to a Free of the Home immediately, if there is no Free present then take the coin and put it on the table beside the Ubar/CA's furs until He returns and can be informed
of its presence. Caution to all - it is very bad to steal the Ubar's coin.

Section 4.6 Misbehavior of Any Slave, not limited to Ownership by the City
If a slave misbehaves in Dandridge he/she is subject to be disciplined by the CA above their Master's/Mistress's punishment.

If your Master/Mistress deems only They may punish you, then do not enter Dandridge as We follow the Common Merchant Laws of Gor and enforce this in our treaties with other polities. If a slave is being punished NO slave will show sympathy for the punished, to do so indicates you think the Free wrong and could bring you punishment to you.

Section 4.8 Slave Discipline, Remuneration for capture/loss
"Any Free Man may discipline an insolent or errant slave, I said, even one who is the least bit displeasing, even one He might merely feel like disciplining. If she is killed, or injured, he need only pay compensation to her Master and that only if the Master can be located within a specific amount of time and requests such compensation. In virtue of such customs and statutes the perfect discipline under which Gorean slaves are kept is maintained and guaranteed even when they are not within the direct purview of their Masters of their appointed agents."
As per the Common Merchant Law of Gor as stated in Players of Gor, 235

Section 4.9 Decorum of Service to the Free
If a slave is in service to another Free, do not approach to offer service, unless you are called to that Frees feet. If you are serving a Free your attention is to be on that Free, not chatting it up in PM/IM, your full attention should be to the One you are serving. Freepersons are to be served equally no matter what. Any slave who "picks and chooses" WILL be punished.
