Destin Faroda, the random awesome character who never joins you (argh!). He is a cameo from another Ogre Battle game, but I don't know which one because the only games in the series I have played are Person of Lordly Caliber and Tactis: The Knight of Lodis. However, I would give an arm and a leg to just have the chance to play others.
