First Fusion Takes Place!!! 2 New Champions!!! World Title Tournament Announced!!! Site Update!! Reported by The President of WeW- 10:50pm Gmt, 16th March 2005 WeW's first Wednesday Night Fusion took place tonight live from the Staples Center in Los Angels and what an all action extravaganza it turned out to be. 4 hellacious matches took place in front of the 20,000+ sell out crowd. 2 new champions were crowned in the process thanks to 2 stunning matches. But the biggest news of the night eminated for the WeW Staff when they announced that a WORLD TITLE TOURNAMENT will be taking place starting on next week's Fusion. Theres plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked!. We put a lot of effort into them ( there 74k results for 4 matches!!). Some may seem slightly rusty but you have to remember its the first time i have done it in a while, but i think you will like them. First WeW PPV Name Released! News and Rumours!! Site Update!!! Reported by The President of WeW- 11:25pm Gmt, 14th March 2005 WeW Today released details of there first Pay-Per-View!. Commishinner Matrix announced live in front of a press gathering that the Pay-Per-View would be named 'WeW Resurgence'. He went on to say that the name was to signify the return of WeW and its surge back to the top of the buisness. Matrix then went on to say that the PPV was tentativley scheduled for Sunday 24th April 2005. But he did comfirm that the venue would indeed be the The Georgia Dome, Atalanta. In other news, The rumour was officially quashed today by President Woods that ex-WeW superstar Burger King would be making an apperance at Fusion. He said it was just a coincidence that Burger King was in the area and that no contact had been made between the WeW and the Xtreme legend. Ooc And Site Message: Well we are drawing ever closer to the first card and it is shaping up to be one hell of an event....i cant wait!. Keep them roleplays coming! Right in site news, i have done nearly all the bios bar 1 or 2, just like i said i would. They still need a bit of work which i will complete after the fusion card, such as graphics and added roleplays. Reported by The President of WeW- 2:25pm Gmt, 13th March 2005 Its was announced today, straight from the office of President Woods, that talented young wrestler, The Dream, has put pen to paper and signed with WeW. The 6'3, 290 pounder from London,England is being touted by many as one of the hottest prospects in the sport. President Woods is said to be delighted with the signing of The Dream. In other news, Rumours surrounding the Burger King putting in an appearence at the first Fusion card continue to persist. According to reports, Burger King was last seen only a few blocks away from the staples center with his entourage. CEO Wilson today fended off questions from the media surrounding the president's announcement at this coming wednesday night Fuison. He said nothing would be revealed until the Wednesday night and that everyone would have to patient. Site Update Reported by The President of WeW- 11:45am Gmt, 12th March 2005 Several bits of news and Rumours are being circulated around the internet today following the announcement of the First Wednesday Night Fusion card for the 16th of march. Prowrestling.com comfirmed that the staples center sold out within 20 minutes of tickets going on sale which as re-affirmed that WeW is still as popular as ever. Its also been comfirmed that commishinner Matix will be making his first apperence as commishinner in a scheduled interview at Fusion. Its rumoured that WeW's legendary ex-Xtreme Champion Burger King maybe at The Staples Center for Fusion. Its not been comfirmed whether he will indeed be there or in what capacity but we at WeW.com will be delighted to see the Xtremeist wrestler of his generation at the event. Also its rumoured that President Woods will be making a huge announcement about the future of WeW and regarding the World Title. " It is my honour to announce this card to the world. We have 4 matches announced so far and its going to be one hell of a night for the WeW. " These 2 wrestlers are extremely talented and it is a privilage to have them on board. " Woods said. He continued by saying that he was throughly looking foward to seeing them in action. Further into the press conference, President Woods responded to the rumours surrounding the first Wednesday Night Fusion card. Site Updates Reported by The President of WeW- 10:15pm Gmt, 7th March 2005 After 2 days of intense negotiations and rumours, its has officially been announced that Ben Hatch has put pen to paper and agreed a deal to become the 6th member of the new WeW roster. CEO Wilson was absolutley ecstatic at WeW's latest recruit. "Its a massive coup for the company. Hatch is, in my mind, world champion material, and over the coming weeks, you will see just what i mean by that. We are absolutley delighted". We at WeW.com cant wait to see him in action. Rumour has it that an announcement maybe made this coming sunday. Though nothing is concrete, the rumour is said to have come from a source high in the WeW ranks. Another rumour doing the rounds on the internet us that President Woods and CEO Wilson are close to striking a deal to appoint a new General Manager. More on that story when we have it. I've updated the rules page in the mean time to bring it up to date with current legislation. Show Rumour and Site Update Reported by The President of WeW- 10:10pm Gmt, 3rd March 2005 Its been announced that Jason Stevens has signed with WeW. The 6'5 Canadian signed on the dotted line after 2 days of negotiations with President Tommy Woods. Stevens will start work in late march / early april due to him carrying a slight shoulder injury but everyone here at WeW.com are really excited at the arrival of one of the hottest talents in the buisness. In other news, its been rumoured that WeW's first show may take place within the next week or two. Though this has come from sereval source's we cannot comfirm this until we hear anything offical from either CEO Wilson or President Woods. The 6'7 brawler from Coventry is renouned in wrestling for his all action style and is someone who is'nt afraid to put himself on the line. In a short statement, President Woods declared himself as delighted with his new recruit and couldn't wait to see him in action. In other news, 'Just 2 Awesome' Andy Overdose is said to be livid by Marshall Hudsons comments in his exclusive interview with WeW. "Well its an honour to be apart of WEW, i have expierience, having been a veteran of XWf and the owner of WxW which was closed down by the wrestling authorities for being to violent. We went where the other feds wouldnt. So after sitting by the phone for the past year i was glad to receive a phone call by Tommy Woods, the owner of WEW and by giving the job of being ceo to myself, i can see really big thing's happening for this fed and i have been contacting many of my ex feds wrestlers about joining WEW, and hope to have them on board soon." In other news, its been rumoured that former ICW World Heavyweight Champion Marshall 'Hostile' Hudson is close to penning a contract with WeW. When asked about the rumour, WeW President Tommy Woods and CEO Scott Wilson declined to answer but the look on there faces seemed to say a deal was immenent. Major Announcement, WeW Is Back!!!, Site Updates Reported by The President of WeW- 4:00pm Gmt 24/02/2005 In a major announcement at WeW Headquaters in New York City, Live in front of a world wide audience via internet, news and sports channels, President Tommy Woods annonounced the triumphant return of the World Extreme Wrestling franchise. " Its been a long time in coming " said Mr.Woods, "We have been out of the game for 2 and a half years due to many unforseeable circumstances, But having said that, we are back, and in a big way. We are here to stay. We will try and bring you all the high paced, world class action that you have come to expect from WeW.". He continued to talk about plans and future inferstructer for stock market and fans purposes. Later on in the statement, The unexpected became even more unbelieveable when he went on to announce the greatest heel in WeW history, J2A Andy Overdose, would be returning as the brands very first signing. The president said this of J2A. "Now, as anybody that has followed WeW in the past will know that J2A is an Awesome, Fierce competitor. He is also as you know thee greatest heel in our history with numerous big time feuds with past champions and even myself. But i have seen through our past due to the fact of the sheer talent and ability he has to offer WeW.".He ended by commenting that the wheels were now in progress, and that he has now embarking on putting together a world class roster and that he would somehow make WeW a force once more!. Ooc And Site Message: Well, Here we are again. WeW has returned, and im determined to get it back to the highly active, action packed federation that was so enjoyable to be apart of. Its great to get back into after such a long period of time, Especially when efedding seems weak at the moment. Lets hope we can get back to the top.
