I don't know what it is like to lose a sibling and I don't want to know, but having lost family members I am sure I know of the pain you are feeling.  Even though the loss is but a temporary one, it is no less painful.  The thing that has always made it easier for me to bear the death of a family member is that I know we will meet again and that when we do all the prior pain will be forgotten.  My sympathies to you and your family. ~ Steve Finney (68)

I will always cherish my memories of Sammy, Nita and the rest. I have a picture of Sam, Nita and Marcella at his 16th birthday party with my brother Bill. Sam's cowboy hat on the back of his head. We were both at OJC as non-traditional students. in the '70's also. He is in a better place, No more pain. I will miss him as will others. Hi my name is crystal, I am sorry to hear about your brother, It does seem so soon just like one of the other members mentioned, it seems like it was yesterday that Sam approved me to become a member and we had quite a conversation, although that was the first and last conversation I ever had with him I feel sadden for what has happened.  He is in a much better place now! and he is looking down at us. I am so sorry to learn of the loss of Sam.  I didn't know him personally, but through his work on the website and the LA list I thought he must be a pretty special man.  My sincere sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
