Waxing your Pointe Shoes

Follow these seven easy steps to put some extra life into your shoes!

• Get some Future Floor Wax
• Turn oven on to 200 degrees
• Rub wax on the INSIDE of shoes where it is too soft - i.e. shank, box tip...
• Put foil on cookie sheet (so as not to get cookie sheet dirty)
• Turn oven off when it's all heated up, and place shoes in oven on the cookie sheet
• Make a big sign telling your whole family that your shoes are in the oven, and you don't want them baked. Place it on oven door
• Leave shoes in there for six to eight hours, or overnight.
