 Okay, this one isn't exactly on the BIG SCREEN. It actually opened in 1992, but is worth renting. The plot is based off the "Strike of 1899" but don't think that you are getting a complete history lesson, either. You are also getting complete entertainment for the next 2 hours. Pulitzer and Hearst were the two "big dawgs" of the era in the newspaper business. On one occasion, in 1899, they tried to raise the price for the newsies to buy and distribute their papers. Thinking this was unfair, they went on strike, and made an impact on the entire country. |
