JMF Shadow Angel (Rum Brook Immortal Image x JMF Too Beam Taboo)

Ever since we first laid eyes on the classic film "The Black Stallion" as children we always wanted a black horse. Who didn't??? And then when we chose to breed Morgans we wanted the perfect black Morgan mare. We were wisely cautioned to look past the coat to see the horse and not the color. The result was an exhaustive search that ended with finding Shadow. She fulfilled a lifelong dream and is the embodiment of that fantasy horse from childhood. She resembles her famous grandsire so much she just takes our breath away. She moves with grace that is all natural but seems almost magical. She inherited the best of her exciting sire, Rum Brook Immortal Image, and grandsire, Immortal Command along with the best of her dam. Shadow's grandsire is one of my all time favorite Morgan stallions. He is revered by the Morgan community for his ability to produce a top notch Morgan show horse. In fact he has been among the AMHA's Father Factor top ten sires five times as a result of the numerous winnings of his get, is a three time USEF sire of the year, and has recieved the UPHA silver stirrup award three times for siring performance horses. Shadow's sire, Rum Brook Immortal Image, is following in his illustrious father's footsteps. He is also siring stunning Morgan show horses. One of his sons of note is JMF Shadow Catcher, our Shadow's full brother. Shadow is not only beautiful but also very sweet, gentle, and friendly. She has been an excellent foundation mare and has had two beautiful foals for us, both black. Skyland Immortal Flaire and Skyland Shot In The Dark. Skyland Shot In The Dark, or Darling, can be seen here. She truly is an angel in the barn and we are so lucky to have finally found our black dream horse. We do hope that Shadow has a few more foals for us in the future but are taking a break in producing foals for the moment so she is open.
