The French Horn, was invented in about 1650 in France and is a large version of the smaller crescent-shaped horns that had been redesigned with circularly coiled tubing.
The Horn may be played seated or standing. For short people, the bell is to be at the side of the body. For an average or tall person, the bell should rest on the thigh.
