Boggsville - a historical site

Believed to be one of the oldest communities in Bent County second to Bent's Fort.  It is presently a designated historical site and is undergoing renovation to restore it as a tourist attraction.  The main structure which was the home of Thomas Boggs and another two story building which was used much like a hotel are the only buildings remaining. Kit Carson, the famous Indian and Army Scout and early explorer, lived at this community for a time.  A postcard picture of what his residents look like is inserted below.
