Mc Clave, Colorado is a small non-incorporated farm community that has served eastern Bent County for approximately the past 100 years  .  This community has a proud heritage in the civic and and educational fields.  The educational district has led the way in many avenues of educational improvements; notably in the areas of classroom students size and the four day school week. 

The Mc Clave State Bank has provided first rate banking to the residents of this rural community as well as many residents throughout the county and southeastern Colorado.  For many years, the primary industry has been the processing of alfalfa in a dehyderating mill for cattle feed in a ground meal form or in the form of pellets.
