IN THE NAME OF JESUS
I use the name of Jesus many times and
certainly not in abuse, or in a profane way, but to defeat satan as he brings hindrances my
way.
Not once but many times have I been able to
continue with the work and writings on my computer due to using the Mighty Name
of Jesus. What a powerful Name is the name of JESUS of Nazareth!!
Amen and Amen!!
I have learnt just because we use the name of
Jesus, and satan flees from
us, that does not mean we have a place in Heaven, what it means is; that the
demons will obey the Name of Jesus.
We can use the name of Jesus and still not be
right with Him, in accordance with our Heavenly Father's commandments for us to
follow. If we do the works of iniquity then we have no place in heaven.
Matthew 7:23 And then will I (Jesus) profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
There is a lot in Scripture about profanity,
especially in Leviticus, and what it is to be profane,
reading Leviticus God the Father shows us the different ways that His Name
is profaned.
From Wikipedia; profanity is a
word, expression, gesture, or other social behavior which is socially
constructed or interpreted as insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing
disrespect.
Leviticus 21:6 They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their
God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread
of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.
Even though here God is giving instructions to
the Priests, we must remember that we have been made Priests and Kings for the
Glory of Jesus.
Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and
his Father; to him be glory and dominion for
ever and ever. Amen.
Whatever we say or do against God our
Father we also do it against Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
It was good that fear fell on them among the
Jews and Greeks, fear and trembling should be a part of our coming to
Jesus, and falling before Him as He is the Most Righteous God of man kind.
Jesus the name above all names!!!
Acts 19:17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at
Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was
magnified.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my
presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, andthings under the earth;
2 Thessalonians 1:12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may
be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all
in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
