This study in the Word of God is designed
to produce saints who are spiritually strong and immovable. This will be accomplished by establishing you
in the revelation of God’s covenant with you.
Rejoice that He has loved you so much that He entered into covenant
relationship with you!
Read carefully chapters 12-17 of the book
of Genesis in the Bible. You will find
the story of how God approached Abram [later named Abraham] and struck covenant
with him. What is important for you to
understand is that what happened there 4000 years ago directly affects you
right now! How does it affect you? Because as Galatians 3:29 says “And if you are
Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” That’s right, you
are a direct descendant of Abraham. That
piece of information is critically important to you because as we study God’s
covenant it will become apparent to you that everything in the Kingdom of God
is yours by virtue of your family status!
Look and see what a difference having a
covenant can make in one’s life by studying David in
II Samuel 9. Because a covenant had been struck between
David and Jonathan, Mephibosheth’s father, [I Samuel
18:1-4] Mephibosheth instantly became a wealthy
landowner and one of the privileged ones who ate the table of the king. The one and only reason why he was given this
extravagant wealth was because he was a descendant of the covenant.
This same principle holds true for us as
believers in Jesus Christ. We, too,
enter into the abundant life promised in John 10:10. That abundant life is also an eternal life.
[John 3:16] Mephibosheth’s
only claim was his birth into the family.
So it is with us. Our new birth is the entry-point into
the family of God and thus into the inheritance reserved only for the
children of God. [Romans 8:32 and
II Peter 1:3-4]
Allow the Spirit of God [who is your
Teacher] to bring this revelation of your covenant with God alive in you. He wants this truth to literally change
everything about you. It will alter the way
you see yourself – you will start
seeing you like God sees you! It
will open your spiritual eyes to the Word of God and you will see covenant truths in every chapter. This will give greater insights and under-
standing to you about the principles of God’s kingdom. You will never be the
same once it comes alive in you! Sin will
lose its grip on you! You will take on a
new righteousness consciousness. Things
like low self-esteem and self-hatred will fall away. The hold your past has had on you will no
longer be able to incarcerate you. You
will begin to rise into your destiny,
and regardless of where you are now, nothing
will be able to stand in the way of you fulfilling the plan of God for your life!
Begin right now to rejoice in your
covenant with God! Take the next few
weeks and focus your attention in the Word on this single subject of
covenant. Eat it, sleep it, drink it until you get it.

God
to you and your descendants after you.”
