Why Alexander? I can’t really say, he found himself a home in my brain, and has raised his flag for the moment. It could be that the man is—er was as confused and stubborn as I AM.
Where else in history can you find someone who successfully conquered the known world, and even now is looked back on as a fair, just and prime example of a ruler? I mean hello he was a cool guy, very much on his way to being forgotten by today’s youth.
Who else shows the lengths and depths of the spirit of youth…if you even say Brittany Spears, N’ SYNC, Eminem, I’ll kill you.
Come on took the throne at 20, conquered the known world by 30. Died at 33?! Hello! And he still had time to get rip roarin’ drunk, every other night! But I suppose it’s a good thing that he died so young there was no way he would have been able to keep up the pace he’d set, he may well have ended up destroying all that he had done by showing himself to be human—as in someone who is corruptible—would so much power have eventually turned him into King Darius III?
Who knows and thank God it didn’t happen, or rather he didn’t live long enough for it to happen. That alone might well have killed him…now as for him having children—I think he had two there are a few different accounts on this, one says that he had 2 then nothing is said of it beyond Alexander the 4th was killed at 13 along with his mother and the other ‘Heracles’ don’t know need to look it up. Anyway Alexander the IV poor kid wouldn’t have had chance if Alexander had lived to see him…or been a part of his life. I believe it would have been an upbringing much like his own had been…which is NOT a good thing.
Back to why am I obsessing over Alexander the great…and again all I can say is…I don’t know. Maybe his ghost got bored and decided to haunt the life of an equally bored anime fan.
Someone wrote about Alexander as:
That’s me almost to the letter—never mind about all the ghost crap, I just see another fire sign. -_-;
This has been my not so sensible rambling session about Alexander the great….I now return you to the main site.
