Interview With
Other No Friends Interviews
1. What were you favorite albums or albums you did with Integrity and
why those ones as oposed to other ones?
I think, besides the latest own, "2000", I would have to say "humanity
is the
devil" because it was short, got its point across and seemed to open
my mind
to the possibilities a little more with electronics.
2. Do you listen to you own music?
I listen to each record several times in post production and a few
times
after it is finally released. Then I am on to the next recording and
rarely
have time to listen to the past recordings. I am constantly working on
material.
3. How did you get in tomaking music like psywarfare?
well it started as inventive ways to create song intros for integrity
then
evolved into its own identity.
4. When you were growing up what bands did you listne to adn what
abnds
are you currently listening to?
as a kid:
thomas dolby, dead kennedys, gary numan, black flag, black sabbath,
septic
death, joy division, sigue sigue sputnik, etc.
now:
alec empire, autechre, aphex twin, charles manson, and the same stuff i
did
as a kid plus a lot of other groups.
5.What were your biggest influences as a kid and now?
imagination
6. What are your favortie songs on the integrity 2000 cd? And do you
plan on releaseing anymore music under victory records?
I really like all the songs. We will probably begin recording our
next cd
this summer for a late 1999 release. We are also currently planning a
split
7" with Pale Creation. And I have a new psywarfare 7" out in 2 weeks
on
Anti.5's record label called "candyman" as well as my third psywarfare
cd on
Vinyl Communications due out this summer.
7.What happened to Dark Empire?
I changed the name to Holy Terror a few years ago.
8. How did you find out about Holy Terror Church of Final Judgement?
I started it. I wanted to create an alternative to the mundane world
of
religion, art, and philosophy.
9. Ive read and noticed that in some of your songs (ie: burning flesh
children to the mist) they deal with Cult leaders and serial killers.
Also in other intwerviews Ive read i noticed you had an interest in
cult leaders and serial killers, so my question is what ones do you
find the most interesting and why?
Charles Milles Manson
10. What are your feelings on the recent school shooting in colorado?
well, I feel that the favoring of high school athletes by the school
faculty
has gotten to a ridiculous level. These teachers, who themselves felt
"unpopular" in their own school years, now rub elbows with the high
school
athletes in a desperate and pathetic attempt to finally fit in. Their
favoritism is the root of atrocity, coupled with the medias insistance
in
reporting every possible detail to the point that it was a clear
blueprint to
what to do with a hopeless situation as well as a challenge to go
beyond the
last Huberty disciple. I think the teachers need to focus on equal
discipline for all the students, not favored treatment for athletes and
maximum penalty for the creative students. This is culled from my own
high
school experience and is, merely my opinion. I was not in Littleton,
Co, so
I am basing this on my own speculation. I also find it ironic that
these
young men dressed in a fashion similar to Mr. Boyd, ironically also a
Denver
resident. (pinky to mouth as dr. evil would)
11. What are your Favorite movies?
Bedazzled, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Austin Powers, Blade Runner, What
Is It?,
Pearls Before Swine.
12. What are your favorite books?
Rimbaud "a season in hell/the drunken boat", mostly I read maunuels,
and
instructive literature, Rimbaud is more "candy" for my mind, in
comparison to
the tutorial reading I usually find myself immersed in.
13. Have you ever read the book 1984 by George Orwell?
Of course! A wonderful story that is slowly but certainly proving the
old
saying, "life imitates art". Tipper Gore in 99 (only 15 years late,
but
still selling all Christianities fear, control and hate)
14. Do you write stuff other than songs, such as short stories, poetry,
ect.....?
I have written quite a few stories, poetry. I am too involved in the
music
right now to really free up any of my creative time for other
expression.
15. What other ways do you express your creativity other than Integrity
2000/ Psywarfare, such as painting sculpting and drawing?
All of the above. I made the cover art for the "Systems Overload"
album,
that involved all three mediums.
16. I saw there is to be quite a bit of new Integrity 2000 material out
this summer. Can you give us any info on them?
we are doing a split 7" with a band called, Fear Tomorrow. And a Full
length
cd, mostly featuring cover songs, both for East Coast Empire recordings
17. What or some of the posibilities for the cover songs on the
Integrity 2000 full length on East Coast Empire, or would you rather
keep it a secert?
sorry, you'll have to wait until the end of summer release date to find
out.
I will say, they are not predictable songs.
18. How would a band go about getting to record for Holy Terror
Records?
I would have to be in the band.
19. How do you feel about raising a family in today's world?
the world has always been an uncertain place to raise a family.
20. When do you believe the end of the world will come, if you belive
the end of the world will come, and how do you think the events will
unfold?
I try not to predict anything, especially issues of consequence.
21. Do you have any advice for young bands just starting out?
create the music for yourself, first and foremost.
22. Any final coments?
