Test your toxic exposure!

 

We are exposed to toxins every day as we walk on our planet. I'm not going to launch an environmental platform here, though I certainly have some strong opinions on the subject. But, my point here is to deal with issues of HUMAN health and nutrition.

To that end, if you knew, even to a small degree, that your exposures to "everyday" toxins(what a CONCEPT!) could/would impact your health, would you not find yourself more ready, willing, and able to DEAL with that (those?) impact? If the impact has already had health-preventing consequences, perhaps knowing from where it stems may help.

So, below is a quick quiz to help you determine the degree to which you have been affected. There are no right or wrong answers. The test will show you where exposures are occurring, and a measure of the effect. This is just a first step. Once YOU know whether or not toxicity levels are presenting a problem for you, then it is up to you to follow through, and take yourself through a liver (really, affects ALL the organs) detoxification program.

Sorry, I have not gotten as far as posting a de-tox program here -- YET! But, please, do check back, as that WILL be available in the not too distant future. In the meantime, if you are fortunate enough to have an enlightened medical doctor on your personal staff, that person can create a de-tox program specific to your needs. If you must needs rely on the not-so doc who may debunk such things, you should be able to find good de-tox programs through a nutritionist, chiropractor, Naturopath, or any holistic med practitioner, library, health food store, or local health club.

Count one point for each statement that applies to you, or has in the past 5 years:

1. Smoke cigarettes

2. Take non-prescription drugs (includes alcohol and caffeine)

3. Live in a polluted area

4. Work with paint, chemicals or any type of fumes

5. Work around cigarette smoke

6. Take prescription drugs

7. Eat processed food (containing food additives)

8. Live on (or near) a non-organic farm (pesticide exposure)

9. Use pesticides and herbicides in your garden

10. Use aerosol sprays

11. Have fewer than one (1) bowel movement a day

12. Have sinus problems

13. Have boils and pimples

14. Have a lot of intestinal gas

15. Bothered by mucus in your nose or throat, or see mucus in your stools

16. Frequently drink soda or other "chemicalized" drinks

17. Feel bloated after eating

18. Have bad breath

19. Have bad body odor, especially feet

20. Have a white coating on your tongue

21. Have bags under your eyes for no reason

22. Often overeat

23. Don't chew food thoroughly

24. Feel groggy and stiff after arising in AM

25. Have a great deal of dandruff

 

INTERPRETATION:

The more statements checked, the higher the level of toxicity. More than 5 checks indicates that a detoxification program would be helpful;

more than 10 makes the detoxification program a necessity.
