November Thoughts

November 5, 2000

Well since I haven't written in a long time I'll have to do a big-ass update.

Great Halloween party on the 27th of October. There was an appearance of many different people and things. The alter ego hosted the party, there was a cow, an enchantress, an arabian princess, a Scotsman (still not sure if he's a true one or not), Sailor Mercury was there as well. There was a fairy (and the next day there was Fairy Bob), a costume change took place in the middle - from a white something or other to a sexy devil. Closer to the end of the night was the best. (I got a phone number) But I ended up with a much beter deal. Plenty of pictures to remember it by.
Then at school on the Tuesday Fairy Bob showed up along with the cow. It was an interesting sight. I pity the poor sap who had to give a physics test to a cow in his classroom. Then there was handing out candy to the little cuties coming around trick or treating. It was another good night. ;-)
Friday night was a return to the Banana Man ;-) I even got to see him up close ... and personal? Not really. Then there was the oddball with the same name as my boyfriend - "My guy looks better" "I'll agree with you there!!!" A few interesting dances - "You know in comedies when they dance to make fun of people who can't dance? That's what he reminds me of". It was soooo true. Then there was the champagne and the ballons for the birthday girl and a pic with her dancer. My new thing now is being called a lush. Just because I had 2 and 1/2 glasses of beer with supper (good supper at McLean's) and 2 Boomerangs and 3 glasses of champagne doesn't mean I'm a "habitual heavy drinker".
Saturday was an interesting night with a meeting of 2 new people. Apparently they are very sick people - but I had fun - it's not as if I've never encountered worse. Got to see two movies and have a little fun. It was a good night.

"Does it bother you?" she asked
"I can't stop him" I answered.
"That wasn't my question".
I just shrug.

Never had so many sleepovers with one person before - and in such a short time! But at least we've got a spare room with a double bed now for our guests. It was a great weekend really. An amazing surprise 50th birthday celebration. I got two free beers (ya me!!) and got to play some interesting pool. The birthday boy was really surprised and that was the best. Got to put faces to all the people I've heard about for so long. Some are interesting ... and well others .... It was a really fun time and then coming home for yet another rum and coke as a nightcap (that was what? ... number 14 for her?), a long goodnight and an amazing Sunday full of football. Ready for next week? ALS ARE IN THE GREY CUP!!!!! A final against Winnipeg got them in - here's hoping we're ready for what B.C. has to offer!! Looking forward to it on Sunday!

It's funny how good it feels when you know that somebody thinks of you in their time of need. "You know ... I wish you lived a little closer now" ... it warms the heart knowing that your friends think to turn to you when they need a place to crash ... if I could I would you know. ;-)

Well an amazing Grey Cup party was held this Sunday at my house. Now if only the game would've been just as amazing for the Als ....
Just as I get used to a certain somebody ... I never cease to be amazed. An e-postcard that says "Good luck on your finals. Word of advice : When it comes to studying, think of what I would do. Then do the complete opposite. 8)" kinda shows that somebody's thinking of me ... now I wonder why? Why does he continue to surprise me this way?

"Nothing was said about Monday?"
"Nope."
"You didn't say anything either?"
"Nope." I don't want to make a big deal out of anything that isn't. Do I?
