Well a 21st b-day came and went. But it was a blast while it was here. The exchange of scandelous and not so scandelous pictures from our Kingston trip began the night, followed by dinner, cake and gifts. Then the drinking and "hanging out" began. The laughter was unstoppable and the "Grow-a-Date" - unbelievable!! The many teasing remarks about a certain "present in picture if not body" person were endless. The dice story - "I had 2 dice on my tongue ring, but I accidently chewed one off - if you had an x-ray of my stomach - the balls you would see!!" Really .... For someone who was feeling sick and crampy a bottle of Wild Vines and 2 Smirnoff Ice really did the trick - felt better as the night went on. I can't forget the Smirnoff Ice labels in somebody's journal, or the virgin/non-virgin myth behind them. And of course -- "I'll have to learn to take it up the ass" followed by "That's a really big Dentyne Ice box". Ahh the endless laughter.

Wow ... it's been awhile hasn't it? Plenty of things have happened since the 6th ... I guess there was just too much happening and not enough time to write or think much about it.
First off, my parents and grandmother made it to Germany in one piece. My mom got a little motion sickness on the plane, Grandma got a cold not too long after getting there, and Dad (the one everyone was worried about) actually enjoyed flying. Grandma got motion sickness in the car during the 2 hour drive from Frankfurt to Bitburg, but I guess all is well with them. I got to hear some stories, but I'll get the full report when they return.
Living on my own for 2 weeks - that's another story. I've managed to get to school ontime without being driven, I managed to wake up late, having only 1/2 to get to the bus stop so I wouldn't miss my bus and be late for my driving lesson. I survived through huge meals cooked by my lovely boyfriend with my help - I will be twice the size I was when they left by the time they come back. I was able to manage through a power failure, playing Trivial Pursuit by camping light lamps, then going to bed and waking up in time for school the next morning. And finally I will be able to go to an Auction at my church tonight and watch some talent shows between autioning numbers, and have a lovely dinner with my boyfriend, while I tape the highlight of the night - 4 men in full drag doing a dance number. If all goes well I might be able to add this to my portfolio of things I've taped. Should be interesting.
One of the down sides to living on my own - the complete silence when there is nobody else in the house. Solution - Keep the boyfriend locked in the house with you from Thursday until Sunday then convince him to come back and stay from Wednesday to Saturday. Needless to say, it's been great fun, but with little sleep, I've been too busy trying to get homework done, keep the house looking neat, and trying to get used t osleeping with somebody beside me during the night. Sounds easy? Well it's not!!
So that's been my life since about the 9th of October onwards .... we'll just have to see how the rest of the week holds out. I still have 4 days left to go without them.
