July Thoughts

"Il faut que tu parle."
See what happens when you're friendly - "What's your name? What origin are you? I'm going to stay here and talk to you. What's your phone number? You don't want to give it to me? Why not? Do you have a boyfriend? Yes? Oh, I'm sorry." It's a good thing when you have a "chum".
Later at the Jazz Festival - "I apologize for the rain. We're going to play a short set - try not to get electrocuted - then come back for a longer set later!!" But that was good anyways - a 20 minute set from Jacksoul meant I didn't miss anything.

"So how was the funeral?"
"Good."
"How did she look? Or was it closed casket?"
"She's cremated."
"Oh. Did she look sooty?"

You'd think that some people might have the common courtesy to at least let me know that they received and approved it on the 12th of June and let me know that it's all okay and that I have the go-ahead. Oh well at least I know now and can anxiously look forward to the 6th of August.

Well fireworks last night were amazing. Only problem was the fire on La Ronde at the end. Damn Americans ... they'll do anything for a show!! LOL Walking through the gay village to get to the Just for Laughs Festival was some interesting stuff - "There's alot of male couples isn't there?" "Yes, we're in the gay village" , "He'd just die if he knew he was being checked out while he was on the phone" , the man with the chaps, leather vest and - oh my God he's got a whip!!!, and, see a man in a dress, tights, makeup, and amazing 6 inch heels and the boys can't walk straight!!
Today was boat watching at the Ste Anne de Bellvue locks .... wow the money that float along those waters .... Then the ferry ride, and dinner finished off a great afternoon and evening.

The girlfriend bounces her head off the soccer field, the cousin rips his shirt, the sister gets the ball right in the face, the other sister gets it right on the butt and cries to get it kissed better - "I don't think so", the mother is exhausted from the trek to the field, her boyfriend skins his toe in goals, and on the way back he himself has a bum knee and hurts his back - so who's up to play soccer and football again?

Well the past few days have been pretty interesting. Had an amazing birthday celebration on the 19th, and the day before the opening of presents - mosy of which he loved I know ... the rest was shock wasn't it? Peel Pub was interesting - pics of my boyfriend with the "Molson Dry Girls" will be interesting as well as the one after with him covered in tatoos. Can't wait to see what that will look like. Watching people get wasted is so much fun, as was the rest of the night, and we will have to send those pics to the ones who missed out on it. I just hope they got home okay ;-) Tonight is a dinner at La Stanza that I hope will turn out okay ... funny how I get nervous with such things. Then afterwards it's christening his new VCR that he got for his b-day with Jurassic Park: The Lost World. Hope it turns out really fun!!

Well aside from a bitchy waitress (the seat natzi) it was an okay dinner. After bad service, mediocre food, and all the horror stories from others, not many will be returning. Also knowing that 4 other people who were there yesterday had to go home from work today because they were feeling sick is not something comforting.
"She asked if we live together."
"Well almost."
"That would be interesting ...."
It's funny how with some people you can't see the future and with others you can't not see it.

I saw him inhale. I watched him. Did it bother me? He said he'd stop if it did, but I don't want to have that power over him.
