So much has happened and not happened ... been disappointed a couple of times, been pleasantly suprised by an amazing text message ... and I've been swamped with extra hours at work and dumbass reaction papers to write up ... it is now 1pm - I have 2 hours to figure out how to start and finish it up ... great.
Highlights from my weekend ... (mostly from the sorority party Friday night) - "That one should not be let out of the house" ... Crazy drunk boyfriends ... "You need a leash on that boy!" ... some amazing chatter on the way home ... the disappointing 6 gin and tonics with no feeling of being tipsy ... "You know, if these were real drinks, we'd be dead by now" ... and the lovely end of the evening - getting a key stuck in the lock and needing a locksmith to get it out ... what trouble we get into .......
Back to the reaction paper now ... hahah I mean ... must START it now .....

Something I learned Sunday night -- "The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference."
On the other hand ... I think I truly hate Tuesdays ... The day started off without any energy to attend my first class ... followed by an afternoon of aimless wandering and no studying ... then getting back a bad grade on a test ... I think I passed but I didn't really do the math to find out ... followed by some more wanderings ... knocked on the door to a friend who wasn't home, called a friend who wasn't even in school today (he's got the flu apparently) and ended my evening eating alone (as usual) thinking about why I decided to stay in school anyways. My evening class was even less stimulating ... followed by an uplifting meeting with a journalism/communication buddy. Apparently I'd be a good Speech Therapist ... well that made my night- thank you so very much ... I'll stay in school now ;-) However my little light got blown out by a meeting with my (former) potential - it's a known fact that he's not interested as of tonight. So much for that .... I didn't even make it to the first date to screw it up.

And March Madness has begun -
Friday (for the first time in my history of St Patrick celebrations) was host to a full day of events, and I was available to partake in them - woohoo. Our day began with free coffee, thanks to Coffee and Cookies with St Patrick ;-) ... followed by a few hours of shoe and jewllery shopping for that special day in June. That had to stop around 1:30 due to some craziness that had begun to seep into our choices - MATCHING TOERINGS!!!!!!! Finding a place to eat lunch at Hurley's proved to be difficult so we ended up on Montange at a new place. Great atmosphere, amazing waiter (in his kilt of course) and good company. Plenty of drinks, some interesting conversations around us,(oh and "mushroom, mushroom, tree , tree) and some friends dropping in on us (finally) made the night great. A live band helped out with making it quite the lively scene. Also an invitation to meet up with one of our tablemates on Sunday cannot be passed up ... hehe. The pushing and shoving to get to the exit proved to take at least triple the time it did than on the way in ... but we did get at least a free drink and our free tequila shot! "Since you've been moved around and had to wait awhile for youe food why don't I get you a drink on the house?" ....."Okay, apparently I can't do quite that much, but I can offer you a free shot" ... "Well I've never had tequila" ... "Tequila it is!" .... The line-up for McKibbens was too much for our patience ... the metro ride was okay once we had our seats ... 4 Kilkenny beers, one tequila shot, followed by a drink of raseberry twist smirnoff vodka with diet 7-up ...the night continued some talking about life and the world, "sex, drunk, and jacuzzi ... I'ma gonna sleep like a baby" ... bad music, annoying mirrors, but a jacuzzi..... ;-)
So for the first time ever, I celebrated St Patrick's day ... for about 12 hours ... I didn't get drunk, I didn't dance with strangers ... seat dancing and bouncing boobs don't count ... being called a flirt (again!) and looking forward to next year's celebration and Sunday's parade ... with hopfully some of the same strangers from last night ;-)

SAINT PATRICK'S PARADE ... and all that goes with it. Began at 10AM at Second Cup with a window seat and a caffeine high. Following that we survived almost three hours in the cold, through two blizzard storms, periodic sun shine and for the most part cold wind. This year was minus my regular parade buddy, but I had a lovely blind companion and a little 10 year old munchin to keep me company along the sidewalk this time. No fistfights, flirting, or any other strange activity occured ... woohoo. Ended up at 3 Amigos ... getting to be quite the tradition ... had some food and some drinks, and made it home just around 7PM ... and I missed out on my visit to Old Orchard to see if the Friday guys were there or not. Probably would not have recognized me anyways. So another parade, another Mexican dinner with some of the same people (well one of the same from last year ... and this time he wasn't working - damn him and his Mon-Fri shifts and his Fort/Tupper apt that overlooked the parade ....) Hmm ... possible indoor viewing next year? But it just wouldn't be the same!!

Another night out, another at Brutopia ... ahh ... many of those "had to be there" moments ... if only we all had tape recorders and access to the sound suite ... what trouble could we get into then? ... okay ... out of my drunken haze from last night let's see what kinda sound bites I can remember ...
"I deal in chickens ... no, not in currency!" ... "You can't fuck anybody with an i-beam!" ... "Wouldn't it be great if the one tentacle would just coil around the other and then wiggle ... then it would be forced to keep spewing black inky cum all over" ... "My first goal in life was to be a stripper ... but I didn't get that ... so now I'm working on my second goal in life - to finish CEGEP ... yes my goals are varied." ... "Tell a story funnyman!!" ... "Can I lick your forehead?" ... "Are you drunk enough to be lesbian yet?" ... "I'm not drunk enough to let you make me believe that." ... "What are you doing here? .. Just getting together with some friends ... So am I, but there's two of them ... Well I only know 4 or 6 of them, the rest are friends of friends." ... ahh ... with more income we should all be blessed to get together with as quirky and as inebriated friends as I was able to last night ... I love you guys - with all your references and tales of juvenile delinquence it could not have been a better night!
