March Thoughts

Something to look forward to:

March 2, 2005

I had anger management testing today .... I passed. I was shocked, then angry ... I had full intentions to write a nasty email, I even played it out in my head the face to face confrontation ... however I know what the response would be ... so I relaxed ... I let go ... I passed my anger management test .... nothing will faze me now.

Hmm where do I start? .... Friday work day - got to show off my pics from the staff dinner to some of the staff members I was working with ... only a few odd questions ... "Are you going out with him? You look cosy in that picture." ... "Do you live on a farm?" ... "A 40 oz bottle of rum? What's the occassion?" "Valentine's Day" "You're Dad gets rum for Valentine's Day?" "From my grandmother, yeah." ...
Then onto Mundo in the West Island for some dinner ... with The Fonze as our waiters .... "AYE!!" ... and the flipping of the collar did not help my cause. One of my favourites from the night - "Friends don't let friends dial drunk" ... among many other interesting comments resulting from a birthday card - you save on bras at your age - you just tuck those boobs into your pants ... as well as the somewhat perverted writing in that card - Happy Birthday, and all the bed .... hmmm ...
Then downtown to go to Med on St Laurent Blvd ... "So this is what it's like to have friends with money" ..... An exclusive club, you only get in there if you know somebody apparently ... and you buy your drinks by the bottle - as in a 40 oz of Vodka with a bucket of ice filled with orange juice, cranberry juice, 7-Up and Rage (and energy drink like Red Bull) ... I don't even want to know how much that night cost him .... especially since the 1st bottle only last about an hour ... then came the second one ... altho this one was a smaller version. And considering I has about 6 vodka drinks ... some more generous than others ... and I was feeling fine, not dizzy, wobbly, or otherwise ... I have come to the conclusion that Vodka and I get along quite well. My b-day buddy, however, had a drink or two that were too much for her ... it was interesting getting outside and to the street corner for our lifts ..... "So what will your names be?" "How about Ginger and Spice?" .... sadly ... Ginger was not too solid on her feet to be much of anything on that street corner. But we made it home okay ... and I only woke up with a sore throat due to the cigars, cigarellos, and cigarettes that were smoked around us that night.
Now I'm to prepare for March 13th - the Parade Day in which none of us work and therefore have plans to get plastered and have oh so much fun!! Followed the week after by dancing at the Loft ... hmm ... pole dancing last time ... cage dancing this time?

One friend is searching personal ads due to bordom, another is posting ads due to reasons unknown, another still is willing to be set up by a sibling, and I've been playing with the idea of trying out speed dating. What have we come to?

"Apparently, according to my ex-girlfriend I've 'let myself go' .... what's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, I know what she means."

St Patrick's Day Parade - Lots of fun, lots of colour commentory, and plenty of laughter and some drinks.
"What's with St Patrick's hand? And his eyes are closed. Oh its no wonder, he's got somebody in his ass."
The roof boys ... which plenty of parade people noticed and filmed or captured on camera. However the were missing from the Gazette photos in today's paper. ;-( Then on to the Cock and Bull after the parade, which was so crowded and so carmped we ended up in the Three Amigos for a couple of pitchers of beer, some food, and some lively conversation - What do you think about fruit? Vegetables? Cheese? ... and the list went on. However I must say that I did enjoy my time chit chatting ... or rather perhaps it was more of an inquisition than a chat, but those interesting talks happen after midnight closer to 3am online. And yes this is evidence of a new friend of mine ... I'm looking forward to his company again.
Peel Pub was where we ended up after getting kicked out of Three Amigos ... the nerve of them to place a reserved sign on our table and tell us they were expecting a party for that table soon. Harumph. But that's okay, two of the four of us took back out tip from the table (those who pay with plastic couldn't ... tsk tsk) .... guess we won't be eating there again anytime soon. So Peel Pub it was .... and some more drinking, a nice feeling of being hugged and wanted, and then off to home to reflect on a drunken evening with some good friends.

And so next year ... the plan is to start drinking while watching the parade and see how much fun we get into then!! Hmm .... can't wait!

Well ... so far so good - I went out last night and I haven't lost my voice ... yet. But it was a little scratchy this morning - but tha's to be expected.
So what did I do last night? Well I had little sleep due to a problem with my computer and a malfunctioning mouse. However that was all fixed up by 3:30AM, and of course I had to wake up and make my way to work at 10:45AM. So, little sleep was had, followed by an annoying shift at work. But I was able to leave only 30 minutes after I was scheduled, made my way home, got ready to leave and was running late as usual to meet my friends for supper. However, supper was good, dessert was amazing, and we even had a bottle of wine, which I must admit helped out my mood emensly.
And the spelling mistake above brings me to the other topic of conversation last night that added some stress and anxiety to my night. However, my advising board of directors has agreed that some things should just be left alone, and that is one of them. Now I'm not fond of "blocking", so I'll just use "avoidance" and then see how things progress from there.
Arriving at the Loft was fun. We ended up sitting near some amusing boys and their antics kept us interested for the most part.
"I think the Rocawear guy has potential, but it could be just cuz he's wearing Rocawear."
"Go get him!"
"Naw ... he just finished sucking her face - I don't do leftovers."
So that left the guy in the red (too skinny) and the Quicksilver guy .... hmmm ... he refused to dance with me the whole night, right until we were leaving, and then he snaked his hand around my hip, and I danced away with a smile ... sucka!!
Other interesting boys on the floor? Hmm the large gay population was interesting to witness ... then there was my Rocawear song guy ... "Lean back! Lean back!" ... too bad he left and I never found him again .... oh and the 7-foot tall guy was REALLY interesting to dance with .... gotta try that again sometime!
There was no cage or pole dancing for us this time around, the contests were getting in the way - that and the girl at the pole was not such a great dancer - and she fell off the thing as well, so avoidance was a good thing I think. We had a few creeps to avoid,
"I've got a penis pressing up against my ass!!!!"
and one threesome on the dance floor to dance around -
"She just changed guys, did you see her jump to that other one?"
"I think she popped his cork. He's looking at his pants ... yup ... I think he's done for the night."
Some things just get too heated on the dance floor.

And so that ends my MONTH of celebrating a certain somebody's birthday. It was great fun, however now I must attempt to save up some money, since I've been spending waaaay too much lately, and revert back to my one movie and one outting a month lifestyle. I only have 3 weeks of school left, so I should be able to do that!
