February Thoughts

February 3, 2005

"Did you really tell him to hire me?"
"When I saw your eyes when you came in, I told him - this is the one."
Even when sick he knows how to spin it .... gawddammit!

February 9, 2005

Well its only Wednesday and I've already had the highlight of my week ... it can only go down from here .....
So the "Staff Dinner" was a big hit - there was enough camera flashes going on to give off a strobe effect ... well almost. The food was good, the company even better.
"I didn't get my hug!!"
"Can I have one too?"
"What about my hug?"
Ahh .... its so nice to be huggable.
One super drunk Indian ... oh wait ... we had at least 2 of those, our table had enough beer bottles to make a song whistling through them ... kinda like that minute maid commercial? At one point we had about 8 then they cleared the table ... then there was another 6 I think ..... sigh ..... but it's nice to know one guy who can hold his liquor ... and other things as well ..... "Don't tell your mother" ... heehee ... I had only 2 glasses of white wine with my supper ... and then we all sat at the bar for a bit.
What else happened that was really nice? Oh yes ... a ride home, a free beer, and the chance to once in my life know what its like to be driven home by a guy using only his left hand to drive - now don't be thinking any nasty thoughts - we were only holding hands .... although it was really nice to be held.
"I've been in love with your smile for the longest time."
And almost a week ago I was worried about spending Valentine's Day in a complete funk, bummed out for not even having a potential (like I did last year) ... however I'm not sure if such is the case anymore ..... Oh and going to Jet on Saturday night might be some good ole' fun as well .... I know exactly what I'm wearing!

February 10, 2005

That giggle that I love to hear so much ... followed by "She's white, she can't dance!" .... that was priceless!!

February 14, 2005

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!! My plans didn't pan out like I thought they would ... however knowing my luck I probably should have figured that would happen. However here's something interesting to think about that is completely un-love related!
George Carlin's Views on Aging!!

And just because there's been a lack of Krispy Kreme-isms ... I'll add one now:
"Oh look, the doughnuts are slow to come out and we have a long line up of customers. I'm going to do what my Krispy Kreme training has taught me do to in a situation like this."
"Wait it out?"
He walks to the back to hide in the office .......

February 18, 2005

Last night - was officially on Spring Break as of 9:30pm ... it was a good night. Was a sort of wasted day ... frustrating ... however I had a good supper with a friend then out to Brutopia for some happy hour drinks all night long. Go figure I end up at a History Dept event ... ironic.
"Can you spare some change lady?"
"Sorry .... "
"You don't have anything to be sorry about lady, you have a good evening."

Work day - all gone to hell - I could've worked a 12hr shift ... and had I not had plans I would've liked to stay .... how sad am I? More like hyper - was working with somebody I hadn't worked with for awhile ... I missed her loud, annoying, hyper state of mind. But it rubbed off on me anyways ..... both of us were pretty high strung by the time 4pm rolled around ....
"I love your whipped cream .... umm ..."
"Hey - it could've been worse , you could've said I love your cream instead."
"Well I was going to say I love how white and creamy it is ... but then those guys were looking at me weird .... so .... "

The Red House Mystery was the play I went to tonight ... and while it was a good high school production, I must admit that the mytery will remain as one since the explanation was revealed in quite the flubbed-lined soliloquy .... too bad really .... but we had fun ...
"Is that his real hair?"
"I don't know. Is that his real cigarette?"

February 21, 2005

When was the last time I had a soul cleansing vent about everything and nothing? Hmm ... Just a few things that have been bothering me lately:
"So you've got a new movie buddy? A new friend?"
"I ... guess ... ya ..."
"Oh ... you can't wait until after your studies?"

"He's just as bad ... with his phone almost attached to his ear the whole time ..."
"Maybe he was talking to a girl."
"Umm ... I don't know ... he could've ... I guess ... but..."

"I got an extra 8 hour shift tomorrow - I'm working 8am to 4pm to cover for somebody who's sick."
"But the weather is supposed to be so bad - snow and freezing rain ..."
"Ya ... well I told then I'd be able to go in .... I can't call now and say I'm not going in ...."
"You're going to have to drive in traffic to get there at 8am ... what time will you leave?"
"Well I was going to give myself extra time ... leave around 6:45am ... since I don't know what the traffic is like ..."
"Well ... good luck then .... have fun getting home in traffic too after 4pm."

"She was asking me how I liked working Monday mornings cuz she wants to work Tuesday to Saturday so she can work with her boyfriend on the Saturday morning ...."
"Oh ... you're not going to do that are you?"
"Ahh ... I guess not ... "
Gee thanks .... its never ending .....

February 28, 2005

Just a few Krispy Kreme-isms:
"Am I touching you?"
"No."
"Okay ... I try harder."

Drooling over an Infiniti car in drive-thru ... the Spring Break Boys ... nervous and not so nervous giggles throughout almost the whole shift .... a certain someone's obsession with getting an IPod - and arriving back from his break without it since they had none in stock!!"

"I don't look like Melanie Griffith - she's blond!!"
"You wish you looked like Melanie Griffith, she's hot"
"I've already had my compliment for the day - I only get one!!"
"Bye-bye bootylicious!"

And here's my current procrastination for the moment:

Virgo - Your Love Profile

Your positive traits:

You're incredibly thoughtful and able to give your partner what they need most.
You are totally logical. You can deal with problems without involving your emotions.
A good work ethic. You'll do whatever it takes (within reason) to make your relationship work.

Your negative traits:

Sometimes you are so focused on your goals that you let your relationships suffer
You tend to be a perfectionist - and expect perfection from your mate as well
You are picky. So picky that you rather be single than with someone who has a few minor faults.

Your ideal partner:

Values success in life as much as you do
Fits a checklist of qualities you've been looking for since childhood
Like you, is more practical and realistic than romantic

Your dating style:

Active. You're a bit hyper, so you'd prefer a date that involved rollerblading in the park or hiking.

Your seduction style:

You may seem a bit shy, but once you open up to someone - you're totally uninhibited
You like to set the scene first - candles, music, nice sheets
A bit obsessed with cleanliness, you may want to shower first with your love

Tips for the future:

Soften up a little. Vulnerability is sexy - and feels great over time.
Lower your standards a little. Look past a messy desk or someone being five minutes late.
Praise your partner more. You make expect them to be successful, but complements are still appreciated.

Best place to meet someone online:

eHarmony - the best place to find other busy singles looking for a serious relationship

Best color to attract mate: Navy blue

Best day for a date: Wednesday
