The model of ministry

Ephesians 4 shows us God's model of ministry:
11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

But our model of ministry is to get people to come to church in hopes that the preacher will get souls converted. This is not only contrary to the Biblical pattern, it puts an undue responsibility on the pastor to do our share of the work. In reality, we should be winning more souls than the clergy, at least collectively, if not individually.
You never see the disciples going around inviting people to the synagogue so they could have an encounter. They were empowered to touch and change people. Afterwards they had all things in common (became a community) and shared things as each one needed (Acts 2:44-45). And even though they met in the temple daily (Acts 2:46), most of the "acts" of the apostles took place outside of the "church house". Because of this, the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved (Acts 2:47).
If you want Bible results, you have to follow the Bible example.
