Mark 4:35-41 tells the story of how Jesus & the disciples encountered a great windstorm while attempting to cross the water in a boat. The disciples were upset and afraid that they wouldn't make it. Jesus, on the other hand was so sure that he was asleep in the storm! And this is what I have learned. You can rest regardless of any circumstance in your life- because there is a peace in EVERY storm. What this means is that (when you are with the Lord) nothing is EVER a threat to your well being!
Had the disciples known that God's words always come true, they could have had confidence when Jesus said at the start,"Let us cross over to the other side". Well this is not just an analogy for one instance. It applies to all of your life. He's the Alpha and the Omega. He's the Author and the Finisher. He said He who begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ! The devil can't win! Even on your worst day, you are better off as a Christian than someone on their best day outside of God! As a Christian, even if the devil was able to kill you, you would go to heaven!!! From beginning to end, your entire life is a boatride. The only question that determines the plight of your journey is this: Is the Lord in your boat with you, or do you run the ship?
