The value of something is determined truly by only one factor- the price that is paid for it. Often times, we feel bad about ourselves because of some imperfection within. But our value isn't derived from our own estimation, but by our God, who paid for us with His Son's perfect life.
There have been times in history when a hero will sacrifice his life for another as a noble cause. You never hear about anyone willing to sacrifice their own child for someone else- it is too high a price. Yet that is exactly what God did for you.
So your value is beyond comparison.
1 Peter 1:18-19
You were not ransomed by such things as silver or gold that don't last forever. But you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ.
To belittle yourself is to ignore God's offer.
