A better deal
Dealing with sins on your own is never easy. Not too long ago, my sin found me out... Numbers 32:23. I analyzed, scrutinized, confessed, strained, rebuked, ignored, excused, pondered, and prayed among other things, trying to find release of my sin- but to no avail. It was just like Psalm 51:3 (read it now, joker).
Realizing my inadequacy to deal with the situation, even suprisingly by Biblical means, I became aware that Jesus is my advocate and He ever lives to make intercession for me. You'll need to read 1John 2:1 and Hebrews 7:25.
Well, I cast my burden on Him. He is now dealing with it. I don't know how He does it, but I am determined to leave it in His hands & resist the tempation to take it back into my hands. Forever! He is sufficient! My means of dealing with sin is not.(And by the Spirit, you know what to do now.)
